The first time I rode a horse was 8 years ago. I wasn’t a very good rider my pony was running around everywhere and doing his own thing. The pony that I rode was called Quala and he has a mane that goes down to his knees, he is so cute. I still ride horses at the same place where I rode Quala. Quala is a pony that everyone that rides that doesn’t know how to ride very well and they all love him.

The reason why I first rode a horse was because when my mum was younger she used to ride horses. When I was little we were trying to find some sort of sport for me to do. I tried gymnastics and dance but I never liked any of them and I said to my mum in these exact words ‘I just want to ride’. I wasn’t too keen on riding at first because I couldn’t do it very well and everyone was so much better than me. Thanks to my mum I kept riding horses because she encouraged me to stick it out by telling me that I would get better in time.

I know ride and lease a horse called Kiowa. I trained Kiowa myself. I started leasing Kiowa two and bit years ago and he knew virtually nothing. But now that I have had hime for two years he has learnt a lot. He can do dressage and he can jump, he is the best thing that ever happened to me and I love him so much.

I’ve spent most of my life riding horses. The rest I’ve just wasted.”

The person that wrote this quote has been riding horses for most of their life. That’s exactly how I feel. I have been riding horses since I was very little. I have become better and better over the years and now I feel like the part of my life when I didn’t ride horses has just gone to waste.

I love my horse, Kiowa, because he is what distracts me from all the horrible things in my life. When I go for a ride on Kiowa I feel nothing but free, because he blocks all of my worried feelings and makes me feel very happy. My life would be so boring without him because I am with him most of he time. He takes priority over my life and everything I do revolves around him. For Christmas and birthdays I always ask for money so I can go to the shops and buy horse gear for him. I love Kiowa so much he is the main part of my life.

I am a student and I am 1 of 5 people in my family. My hobby is horse riding and everything in my life revolves around Kiowa. I love Kiowa because he always looks excited to see me but not nearly as excited as I am to see him. I ride Kiowa 3 times a week, .I started riding when I was 6 and over the years I have slowly improved. I now belong to a club and we are going to start going to some shows together this year. I am so excited, I can’t wait.
